About The Jersey Accommodation Hostel

The Jersey Accommodation and Activity Centre is ideal for guests wanting an authentic, outdoor and active experience of Jersey. With a variety of room types and a whole host of activities for visitors to get involved with, there is something here for everyone, not to mention that the beautiful Gorey Harbour is only a ten-minute walk away.

The centre is a friendly hub of activity, with large gardens, badminton equipment, table tennis, billiards, a games room and the option for guests to get involved with water sports and golf.

Onsite, there is a restaurant that serves up breakfast every day, as well as an a la carte or buffet menu for those who would like it, pre-bookable. However, if guests would rather go out for food, there is an abundance of eateries only a short walk away in the beautiful harbour town of Gorey.

There are many different room types so whether you are travelling with a group of friends, or as a single traveller or couple, there will be space for you with the privacy you desire.

The hostel is located in the parish of St Martin, only a 10-minute walk away from the glorious Gorey Harbour on the east of the island. In Gorey, guests can find a range of bus routes to get them around the island, as well as an abundance of restaurants and pubs.

There are many different room types at the centre to cater for all types of guests. For single travellers, there are single dorms with an attached bathroom. For couples, there are twin or double rooms with their own private bathroom. If families are visiting, there is the option of a family room with a double bed and bunk beds, with their own bathroom.

For bigger groups, there are mixed dormitories available with bunks for 4, 6, or 8 guests. These dormitories have a shared bathroom and are perfect for groups of friends travelling wanting to make the most out of the many activities and attractions Jersey has to offer.

The rooms may not have televisions included, but all the guests are welcome to use the shared lounge with a television there, as well as a range of board games and other activities. There is also a large garden for guests to lounge around and sunbathe during the summer months.

Hotel Dining & Bars

The hostel has an onsite restaurant, The Purple Plate Café, serving up breakfast for all its guests consisting of cereal, bread and eggs with a selection of hams and jams.

For the guests buzzing to get outside and enjoy the island, packed lunches can also be arranged to keep you fuelled up throughout the day.

In the evenings, guests can enjoy food at the restaurant if they so wish on a pre-bookable basis. The food is fresh and flavoursome with options ranging from pasta to curries and chilli. In the summer months, there is also BBQ equipment available to hire out in the garden where guests can make their own lunch and dinner.

Guests can get involved with a range of onsite activities including archery, badminton, table tennis, billiards, darts and board games. The hostel also provides a set rota of activities ran by the staff for guests to take part in, such as football, volleyball or frisbee golf in the garden.

For water sports and golf, you can book this through the hostel, and they can arrange this for you. Or, if you prefer to find your own, the island is full of places where you can hire out equipment, book on to lessons and group tours.

The beautiful harbour town of Gorey is only a ten minute walk away and here you will find the stunning Mont Orgueil, one of Jersey’s castles brimming with history.

The check in times are from 2pm to 8pm and check out times are from 8:30am to 10am.
