Best Self Catering Accommodation and Holidays in Jersey

Where to stay in Jersey Self Catering?

Self Catering Appartments & Accommodation

Self-catering can be one of the best options for accommodation when visiting the beautiful island of Jersey. The flexibility of arranging your own meals, cooking whenever you like, not having to book a table, or worry about how you’ll get home after having a drink can make a chalet or lodge more appealing to those with many guests, or a large family.

Luckily, there are many options available if self-catering is something you’re interested in. Whether you’d like something sophisticated and rural, or somewhere right on the beachfront with easy access to water sports and the golden sands, you’ll be sure to find the perfect accommodation for your holiday here in Jersey. Options include booking through reputable travel agents, as well as online sources such as www.booking.com or Airbnb.

About Self Catering Accommodation Options In Jersey

Jersey is home to 100,000 islanders, who are busy going about their daily lives – which means it is so simple to integrate yourself and your family into island life. Self-catering can give you the best taste of coastal living, as you can pick and choose what, where, and when you’d like to eat.

Fancy a BBQ? Most Jersey Heritage locations have their own outdoor barbecue equipment, as long as you supply the charcoal. Arranging afternoon tea on the beach?

You can enjoy the space and freedom of your own kitchen to prepare the feast. And finally, needing a slice of toast before bed? It’s all in your hands (and some self-catering options such as Les Ormes even feature a restaurant on-site, for those lazier days…)

Why Choose Jersey Self Catering?

Jersey self-catering can be an excellent way to experience Jersey’s charm while on a budget and also gives you the freedom to choose what and when to eat (especially useful with fussy eaters!). Luckily, Jersey has an abundance of supermarkets and delis where you will be able to find amazing, fresh, and local produce to cook up some amazing meals.

Jersey doesn’t have the typical supermarkets such as Tesco and Aldi, but you will find a Co-Op and M&S on the island, as well as many other food outlets.

You will also find that quite a few of the self-catering accommodation options have BBQs for the guests to use. This can be great fun for the whole family and is the perfect way to enjoy a bright summer’s evening with your nearest and dearest.

Travelling To Your Jersey Accommodation

Driving: Getting around Jersey couldn’t be simpler.  If you’re flying to Jersey, then we’d highly recommend hiring a car from the airport, it’s easy and you collect your car from just outside of arrivals.  If you are arriving on the ferry (see Condor’s latest timetables and website to book your sailing,) you can just drive straight off and enjoy the rolling lanes of the gorgeous island.

Buses: Alternatively, the number 15 bus leaves from the airport every 15 minutes, heading straight to the center of St Helier. From there, you can hop on a connecting bus from the well-signposted Liberation Station and the buses can take you the whole way around the island.

Taxis: Taxis are readily available around and you’re never really more than 25 minutes from your destination.
